Ниже приведен текст видеообращения Генерального секретаря ШОС Владимира Норова на английском языке:
Dear Mrs. Zhou Shu,
Dear participants of the conference,
Dear young men and women,
Dear participants of the conference,
Dear young men and women,
It is a pleasure to welcome everyone to the "The 2050 Conference" online meeting, which has become an important platform for the young people to exchange views and implement projects of innovative technology since it was first held in 2018.
"The 2050 Conference" as a new youth platform format has more than 50 volunteer agencies from different cities with a total number of visitors of more than 10 thousand people every year, the uniqueness of the conference lies in its volunteering nature.
There are 1.8 billion young people living in the world today — the largest number in the history of mankind.
Almost half of the world's youth live in the SCO region — which is more than 800 million people. Young people, with their energy, innovation and courageous ideas, are an important pillar of SCO's future development in various aspects of its activities.
It is for this reason that youth is at the center of our Organization's attention.
The SCO Member States attach great importance to developing youth cooperation aimed at facilitating the physical, mental and spiritual development of the younger generation, and involving them in major joint development plans.
The Youth Council is the responsible body for implementing youth policy in the SCO. Discussions, youth forums, conferences, cultural, sports and other events are held under this mechanism.
The SCO Secretariat, together with educational institutions, regularly holds interactive games to simulate meetings of Heads of State and Government.
As a result of the 2018 SCO summit in Qingdao, the Heads of State adopted a Joint Appeal to Youth and a Program of Action for its implementation, which are focused on the active involvement of young people in creating a decent future, promoting the physical, mental and spiritual development of the younger generation.
The documents emphasize the extreme importance of providing favorable social and economic conditions, opportunities for education, self-expression, unlocking creative potential, and realization of employment activity for young people.
Innovation on a global scale is often carried out by young people, young people are aware of their problems and can offer innovative means of solving them.
Training young people in digital skills, especially high-level skills, and providing them with entrepreneurial opportunities contributes to sustainable socio-economic growth in the SCO region, which encompasses nearly half the world's population.
Taking into account that young people are the most affected by the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the SCO is actively working to involve young people in entrepreneurial activities.
The SCO countries also advocate the development of international business incubators to improve the business climate in the region and support youth innovation and startup projects.
Dear participants of the event,
In the most difficult days of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the youth volunteer movements of the SCO countries worked heroically.
Nearly 200 million young people volunteered to help their citizens. They have volunteered and continue to help the medical, the sick, the poor and those in need.
The display of courage, resilience and selflessness of young people in volunteer organizations is highly appreciated by heads of state of all SCO nations.
Dear friends,
In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Hangzhou City Foreign Affairs Office for the invitation to attend the Conference and I wish fruitful work to all the participants.
I am confident that the outcome of the 2050 Conference will allow us to develop concrete proposals and recommendations for the promotion and implementation of promising innovative ideas by the young generation, as well as the establishment of close cooperation within the SCO.
Thank you for your attention.
